Standard carb and choke cleaner found at auto parts store. Can be used on exterior and sprayed thru interior passages etc. when carb is disassembled. Also a product called Sea Foam which is excellent stuff and de-carbons the motor as well. Use it per the label instructions.

Carb spray works well - it's best to remove and disassemble the carb though. If it's vintage or antique and it has a cork float, you'll have to recoat it as today's gasolines will disolve the coating. Get a carb kit for it while you're at it. www.aomci.org is the Antique Outboard website for more info.
