Does anyone here like reading the 87th Precinct Series of books by Ed Mcbain?

I just found out that Ed Mcbain died in 2005! This really saddened me as he was one of my favorite authors and I was looking forward to his next novel of the 87th precinct. If you read his books, which were your personal favorites or which one(s) stick out in your memory the most?? The ones with the Deaf Man, Mischief, Money, Money, Money, and the Frumious Bandersnatch were some of my favorites.

I've been a big fan of his police procedurals for many, many years. About 12 years ago I had the opportunity to hear a reading by him (real name Salvatore Lombino) in a Connecticut library. He was a very gracious man, and answered fan questions for quite some time.

As far as a "favorite" of his, they're all fine reads. One that sticks in my mind though, is the novel "Poison". The reason for that is that during the time I was reading the novel, I was undergoing a procedure that was mentioned in the book, and put two and two together and guessed who the guilty party was early on. :-) (Don't want to be more specific as it'd ruin the book for someone who hasn't yet read the book).

Anyway, good question, and thanks for that. Any fan of terrific cop novels is going to miss Ed's work.
