Xena fans: Would Gabrielle and Joxer have eventually married?

I don't think Gabby would have married Joxer. Though she obviously cared for him, I think it was clear she had no romantic feelings toward him. Besides, Joxer did seem fairly happy with Meg (if you're look at the future after "Looking death in the Eye"). I think Joxer also had come to terms with Gabrielle's lack of feelings for him and he was happy just being her friend.

I don't think the writers would have let that happen.

I got the feeling that they would have liked to have ended things with (a) Gabrielle marrying a good-looking artist [writer, poet, sculptor, or architect] guy; (b) Joxur falling head-over-heels for a blond act-first Valkyrie warrior(ette); and (c) Gabrielle and Joxur still remaining the best of innocent friends.

I also think that the public's general disapproval of Julia Robert's marriage at the time to Lyle Lovett lead them to think that a Gabrielle/Joxur marriage would not have gone over well with the fans.

It was made very clear that Gabrielle was not attracted to Joxer although she did care for him. I think Joxer would have eventually found someone else. So, no I don't think they would have married because there was no passion in their relationship.

eeeww i hated the whole xena gabriel together thing gross! im sure Joxer would have eventually won Gabie... but i like that they didnt.
