Why is so hard to get along with your in-laws?
I use to get a long with but they are the type that think that they know everything about raising kids and having a family

...that's why they're in-laws. i used to love them... but don't get me wrong, i still do. although at times there is this wall that's created when you get into a situation where they start to think if you're really the right person for their daughter/son, sister/brother... whatever. then they look at you. and then you wonder what the're thinkin about you... and eventually you start having mixed feelings... but soon something happens where the relationship between you and your in-laws start to bond and the cycle is created all over again. uhh, well, that happens to me at least. but still... live has its sweet and its sour... and either way, it's a learning experience... but you're going to have to deal with it. if not for you, than for your spouse... you love him/her right? for better and for worse... hmm?

Yes i think they are all like that. God my in laws are a big pain in the @ss.
Just tell them you know what you are doing. And things are different from when their kids were small. I mean things are so different now. And if you ever need help you know were to find them. But for now you got it. Thank for the help but no thanks.. you know what I mean

You tell them this...." You have raised your children and you did a fine job....but now it is our turn to raise ours and we will be just fine.." That will either piss them off or shut them up or both. But its your family that you are raising and you don't need everyone telling you how to raise them

I don't have a problem with my "outlaws" I stay far away from them. My mother-in-law would love to be involved in our life, However, I am so much smarter than her, I'm not a push-over.
