What was that "Funky" jazz, hip-hop song in the late 90's?

All I remember was it had a piano riff and trumpets in the background and the hookline was "Funky! Funky!"

The reason I ask is I was flipping through channels and just watched Herbie Hancock play the original jazz tune on piano so the background track is sampled or adapted off that.

Who was the artist and what is the title of this rap?

Also what is the name of the original song it was based on?

Us3 - Cantaloop is the song you are refering to I believe.

Herbie Hancock's "Cantaloupe Island" is the song they sampled for the background.

    Hope this helps

The song was "Cantaloop (Flip Fantasia)". I am not sure about that artist, but remember US3 for some reason, so that may or may not be it.

I have no idea about the original song.

I think you are thinking of "Cantaloop" by US3. I think the original song is called "Cantaloupe Island" and is indeed by Herbie Hancock.
