What is so Great about Bleacher Seats at Wrigley Field?
I was thinking about getting bleacher seats at Wrigley Field. They are a first anniversary gift. Should I do it?
I don't care if you like the Cubs or not. That is not what I am asking. I need to know what are the main differences between bleacher seats and regular seats. Has anyone been there?

Bleacher seats are general admission, regular seats are assigned, I have been in both. I love the Cubs and I really do not care where I sit there is not a bad seat. there are some that have obstructed views, but still it is the whole experience. I'm sorry I did not look to see if you were male or female. not that it really makes a difference, but if your spouse is not all into baseball, I would get regular seats, because the "Bleacher Bums" can get pretty loud and crazy and yes a tad bit tipsy! There is no violence or anything like that, however if you want to get in close you have to get there early as it gets pretty crowded by the bleacher entrance. But if you want to and have the chance go for it it is an experience unlike no other!!! I guarantee a good time win or lose!! Either way Happy Anniversary and hope you have a great time at the Friendly Confines!!!

The bleachers are fine if you don't mind sitting next to drunk idiot people swearing and spilling their beers all over you to catch a home run ball.
If it's a special occassion, try to purchase the dugout or bullpen seats--these are these seats right behind and around home plate like the first 3 rows--awesome experience. However, they are quite costly--anywhere from $175-$300/seat.

Dont listen to that idiot White Sox bandwaggoner. If you want to go to a Cubs game and sit in the bleachers, expect to pay a heafty price. Even for regular games. For premium games like when the Cubs play the Cardinals, or weekend games, expect to pay double or even triple for what bleacher tickets would cost normally. I look into sites like Stub Hub where you can find good deals on tickets even if the game you want to go to is sold out.

Yeah the main difference is that there is ne reserved seating. everyman for him or herself. Also, there is a lot more rednecks present and the sun is directly on you all the time. And they are a bit more rude and ignorant there becuz of this equation:
sun + Drunks = fights.
So there you go, although I personally wouldn't bother becuz even though you didn't ask, the cubs do suck so unless your going just to get drunk and fraternize I'd recomend the cell.
Oh and one more thing,
Go White sox!

Just being at Wrigley anywhere is great, the bleachers are just where the fans tend to get more rowdie and drunk.

Years ago when the tickets were $1,50 each they were a blast...you had all sorts of people out there, retirees, young people, couples..etc. It was just a really fun place to hang out for an afternoon and watch a ball game.

People like it because of the tradition that is supposed to be there. I dont nescesarily agree with that theory though. It is also very socialable there and lots of partying. They definately arent any more comfortable then any other stadiums. Actually they are rather unpleasant.

because the people in the bleachers have the most fun. They get the most drunk, and are the most vocal.
