Are you supposed to eat that piece of lettuce or stem of cilantro that sometimes comes with your meal?

I think they put it there for decorative purposes and is it safe for eating, cause I always do.

What you do is your business. It's mostly for decorative use, but I hate to waste anything when you think about all the starving people in the world.
