It's not necessary, but it does help the staff out since it's pretty much impossible for them to go through all the questions and answers themselves. I would definitely like to see the site cleaned up a bit. Fewer of these "noise" questions make it much easier to find quality questions to answer. Just make sure to take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the community guidelines first so you'll know what is and isn't considered abuse on here. Thank you for wanting to help out.

Whenever I see a question like that I report them. Yahoo Q&A is not for chatting. It states so in the terms and conditions. Anyone attempting to use Yahooo Q&A for chatting deserve to be reported for breaking the rules.

because we all have needs!

If you don't like it don't open the question or ignore it. It is like TV. Why watch a bad show knowing it is going to be a bad show and then complaining? Let them get their kicks if they want. I answer to get two points. :)
