What did you think in 80s about Michael Jackson?

I was mesmerized. Hell, I'm a GIRL and I wanted to be him (and Cyndi Lauper and Boy George...hey, I was a weird kid)!! He was the epitamy of cool. He had a great voice and he could DANCE. He set the stage for so many artists after him, and yet it seems like no one will admit it.

In the 80's I thought Michael Jackson was cool. As did most every one I knew back in the 80's.

In the 80's MJ was the most popular musical artist to have ever walked the Earth. I remember everyone being in love with his music, his videos, his life. People bought the jackets, sparkly gloves & socks, and learned the moonwalk. I would compare to Elvis at his peak. I cannot think of anyone else that could be in the conversation with those two (concerning pop stars).

He was/has/always is my idol, the first time I saw MJ do the Moon Walk on MTV I was astounded(Since it was such a new thing, I swear, I remember everybody in my School trying to do the moon walk the very next day!). The look back then of MJ was actually pretty cool(for me).

I LOVED HIM!!! I had the biggest crush on him and thought he was adorable, and I was only about 7 years old. Loved all of his songs and memorized them all. My bother and I used to do the mood walk all the time throughout the house, in the stores, etc. I miss that era a lot.

I thought it was amazing, I still remember how fast my heart was going when my whole family watched him. No one has ever done that before and never will. My daughter is 8 years old and she's been on michael since she was 1, she acts as if he just came out. I love michael.

Hell, I loved him when he was part of the Jackson Five!!! Michael has always been one of my favorite artists. Whatever he did/didn't do has no effect on what he can do. He's a very talented performer and idolized all over the world.

in the 80's i was a kid and i thought he was so cool

but now with all his plastic surgery and courts i don't think much of him or his music i don't like any of his new music.

i only like "thriller" and "billy jean" the songs he sang back when he was normal.

Dude, he so rocked in the 80's! That was his best era.

I thought he was awesome and I still do!! I don't care what people say about him I will always be his biggest fan!!
