University of Phoenix is a "real" university and its accredited. But there are employers out there that don't view the school in the highest regard. And there are quite a few former students who don't think the school is that great either (check out uopsucks.com). If its your only choice then go for it. But I must warn you that there are less expensive and more reputable schools that you could check out.

University of Maryland University College www.umuc.edu

    Drexel University www.drexel.com

    University of Baltimore www.ubalt.edu

and many others!!! Do some research before you commit to Univ. of Phoenix

University of Phoenix is as real as going to college. You will attend class for 4 hrs once a week. You will be taking one course every month and cost about $1500 per month/per course. which means in a year you can get up to 36 credit hours and you can finish school in a little as 1-2 years.

    Good luck

The "graduate" of an online school may have done nothing more than hire an impostor to take the courses. the school has no way of knowing who is actually at the computer. Is it the student, then impostor, or both at the same time? As a result ANY online degree is considered questionable at best. Both conservatives and liberals can agree on that issue.

No, but if you work 12-hour shifts you may not have the energy for ANY real sudy time. If there's a local junior college, I'd recommend using their library, and wish you luck.

I hear it's one of the top accredited online universities. It's optimal for people like yourself that work full time jobs. My uncle recently got his bachelor's in business from there. You can work at your own pace and complete your degree with worrying about deadlines and due dates. I'd say go for it.

I attended that University and its okay if you are focused and have the discipline to keep yourself motivated to keep up with the work. It is an okay program depending on you.

Don't sign up, try ITT tech or Devry instead. Sometime local colleges allow you to finish your degree online.

Its suppose to have the largest enrollment in the country, so I guess it's fine to finish there. Larges enrollment in the country!

it's very expensive and is often not considered by employers to be a "real" university.

..but if it's all you can do, then power to ya.
