What are rebates ? ( seen in online stores )?
For example: $150 mail-in rebate.
I've seen this in many online stores... Please give a good brief explanation

you mail in a piece of paper and they give u a check back for the amount the rebate is for. ex. 150 dollare rebate. and u fill out the paper and get a check in the mail for that amount. cool huh

Rebates in online stores work the same as in regular stores. For a mail-in rebate, typically, you buy the product. Instead of a paper form, they email you a form to fill out. You print it out, cut off the UPC tag from the product when it arrives, and mail that along with the printed out receipt and get your rebate check 6-8 weeks later or whenever.

its likea refund.. moneyback type ofthing, you pay a certain amount and get some or all back after a period of time.
