Anyone know about using Dry Ice to remove a small dinge in Auto?
I gotta a couple of hail dings on the hood and heard about someone using dry ice to contract the metal to remove the ding. BS or true? Technique or steps of procedure?

Yes. A small piece of solid CO2 (dry ice) put into the dent will contract the metal around it and the dent will pop out. It is used in paintless dent repair shops. If the dent is on a door panel, you might want a good pair of gloves to hold the dry ice in place while it does its trick. For hood, trunk and roof panels, just let it sit.

I have heard of it, but never tried it . I heard it need to be a hot day , leave your vehicle in the sun for at least a couple of hours before applying the ice .

no i wont cut back to rubble your paint and the plunger doesnt artwork on small dents it rather doesnt do lots reason the dent will circulate back in as quickly as you touch it dry ice additionally will make it not have a susceptible spot. dont do it on fiberglass.

works i seen it done put the ice in the dent let sit if possible push up on mettal with something after its cold
