Don't think you're alone. Had a bad experience with Norton Internet Security 2006. No help from tech support. You might be able to salvage your computer by doing a file search and deleting all traces of Norton and Symantec.

    1. Start > search > all files and folders

    2. Type in "norton" without the quotes

    3. From drop down menu, Look In: My Computer

    4. Advanced Options: make sure there's a check mark by "Search Hidden Files and Folders", "Search Subfolders", and "Search System Folders"

    5. Run the search. If any files/folders are found, highlight and delete. Restart computer.

Once you finish searching for "norton", follow the same steps but this time search for "symantec" just in case they downloaded some files or folders in System Works 2006. Hopefully, this will give you a clean computer.

This was the toll-free number I had for Norton. If it's the same one you have, sorry for the duplication.

    Good luck!
