Andre Ethier- Rookie Stud or Stiff?
Did the A's make a mistake in trading Ethier to the Dodgers?

He's the real deal. The Dodgers got a great deal when they got Ethier for Bradley. Milton was done in an LA uni, I was happy to get anything. But the AA player of the year? Fantastic!!
He's batting over .340 and only occasionally shows that he's a rookie (ie not taking enough pitches with speedy guys on base ahead of him). Has poise and can handle the media. With Ethier, Kemp, Matrin, Broxton and Billingsley the Dodgers have a load of talent that can be the nucleus of another great team (a la the 70's and 80's infield of Garvey, Lopes, Russell and Cey)

Yes the A's made a mistake. Ethier is a stud. The A's got a guy who's on the DL and another guy who is batting under .100.
At the same time, there was no way Ethier would be able to be a starter in the A's outfield without sacraficing something. Swisher and Kotsay are outstanding outfielders. And then Payton and Keilty have done well to play. Bradley = DL.
Oh well. A's are still doing pretty good anyways.
