I took my PSP to school and it was stolen. I know who took it but he won't admit anything. Any suggestions?

IMPORTANT: READ THESE DETAILS: OTHERWISE YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO ANSWER AS WELL AS YOU COULD: What happened was I let this guy borrow it. Afterward when I asked for it back he said my friend had it, and gave me a fake phone number. I asked my friend and he said he had never had it.

Now after the end of school I was able to get the guy's number and I talked to his dad. He said that the guy had one already, and that my friend (same friend as before) had it. I wanted to call the police but my mom will not let me. I live in Louisville Kentucky. The guy's name is Brice Armour. He lives in the Partridge Meadows apartments off of LaGrange Road in Lyndon. If you could help in any way please do!

Tell the cops. If you gave it to him, and not the third guy, it's his responsibility to give it back to you.

First of all, definitely learn from this. Some people are just total jerks, and will do stuff like this if they think they can get away with it. Was that guy a trusted friend, or just some casual dude you don't know well? Never ever loan out anything to anyone unless you absolutely trust them.

Secondly, always write down the serial number of whatever you loan out. If you still have the PSP box, see if the serial number is on there or something. It also helps if you leave some kind of inconspicious mark on it too, like a scratch that seems irrelevant. But when you describe it to the cops, and they see that mark (in addition to the serial number, which is the #1 thing they will ask for), then they know you're telling the truth.

Thirdly, ask that guy if you can see his PSP, and see if you can identify it as yours (assuming you put a ton of scratches on it or something). What makes me suspicious is, if he already has one, why did he borrow yours in the first place?

Finally, don't take stuff like that to school. It's not like you'd get to play it for that long anyway, and the teachers will probably take it away from you too.

Not sure what else you could do. You could call the cops, but again, your mom seems to be against it, and more importantly, if you don't have the serial number, then there's not much the cops will do for you. You could kick his butt, but if you do, he may retaliate later on (not saying he will, but why take the chance?). Contrary to what people are saying here, violence isn't always the best answer, and while the PSP was expensive, it's not worth killing/hurting someone over.

On the other hand, maybe that guy was telling the truth, and your friend did have it, but is just playing dumb. Next time you loan anything out, tell them that they're to give it back to you, and only you, unless you specifically tell them, in person, that so and so can borrow it. That way, something like this won't come up again.

First, do no longer placed peoples names and address on the internet. What makes you imagine you need to be in a position to attempt this? i'm hoping this isn't a vengeful individual or you may have all sorts of loopy human beings showing up at your door. 2d, How previous are you? (rhetorical question) i do not frequently tell human beings to blow off what their mom says, yet when you're quite that ticked off you should locate out what you could legally do about it. No, i'm no longer putting forward sue him. yet, are you able to record a police record? call your community police non emergency determination. they should be in a position to connect you to someone who can answer this. No which couldn't get it decrease back. yet, it is going to placed a mark on his list. 0.33, be better careful who you let borrow your stuff. exceptionally, in the journey that they don't look some you're positive you could believe. ultimately, good success on getting your PSP decrease back. yet in case you do not, bear in mind human beings always get decrease back in existence what they dish out.

First of all NEVER take such things to school. Second NEVER lend anything to anyone., because you'll never going to see it again. and if you do, it won't be in the same condition as before. If you know the serial number of your unit, match it to the one of the kid who's dad told you he already had one., if it matches, then that's your PSP., call the police and file a report on them.
