You will never see anything cooler than a space shuttle launch; they go up less than a 100 miles from orlando. Check nasa.gov for launch dates.

Visit Miami. So much to see and do. See South Beach but don't stop there. Miami actually has a lot of history (if you are into that stuff) and lots to do in general. Vizcaya, Venetian Pool, Everglades National Park...etc. Check out Palm Beach county too, some of the most beautiful houses in the world are there.

Close to the orlando area is the area called Old Towne. There is a lot to see there, including a small amusement area, many shops and 50's theme nights when folks come in with their old cars and hot rods. We stayed in that area and really liked it. Only a few miles from better know attractions such as Disney, Universal, and Sea World.

In Miami: Bayside, South Beach, Miami Seaquarium, Tresure Island.

You can also go to the Lion Country Safari in Palm Beach.

Also go to the Everglades and jump on a airboat and swim in the swamp waters. check out the gators.

What part of Florida specifically? Sounds like the greater Orlando area, and of course there is Sea World and (for the adults in your party) Church Street Station in Downtown Orlando. Driving to Fla? Stop at the State Welcome Station where you arrive in Florida at (usually on Interstate Highway at State Line) for a wealth of information. Also: FLAUSA.com (www.flausa.com) is good.

Miami is not even close to either of those places. But if you going to be in and around Miami then go to the Everglades and take an airboat ride and go to the Miami Zoo
