It is irresponsible and rude. If it is absolutely necessary, the conversation should be minimal. It should be against the law in all states. People don't need any help in being poor drivers.

A person cannot do two jobs at the same time with the same amount of concentration. While driving, 100% concentration on the road is necessary all the time. When cell phone is attended, it diverts the drivers into various things on answering the phone, thinking a solution, fixing an appointment, etc and thus reduces the concentration on driving to almost 10%. This lapse of about 90% would result in danger. Thus it is very dangerous.

It's dangerous. Almost got hit by someone chatting away on a cell phone. I think cell phones should only be used while driving if it's an emergency.

Don't hold out a long conversation. Say like "hey were in so and so see you in about an hour bye" Fine as long as there is road rage or high traffic.

Seeing Police Officers on there phone bugs me to death. Aren't they on Duty. Pull over on the side of the road or something so if you loose control you have your full attention on what your major consern is.

If you half to talk to someone have a hands free set normally i think they come with the phone.

Surely people are not so devoid of human contact that they must risk there well being, others outside the car and their children, friends and family inside the car to get that one message in.

As far as I know they don't allow cell phones in heaven, but if you kill someone with your car because the phone was more important maybe you won't be going there any way.

I only talk on the cell phone in my car if i pulled over to the side of the road! i can't stand people that talk on cell phones while driving, it is dangerous and distracting, it also makes people VERY bad drivers.

If you're driving, you should not be talking on a cell phone. It takes your mind off the road.

People who talk on their mobile while driving are very iresponsible, a split second of no concentration could prove fatal not only for the driver his passengers and the other innocent folk onl the road/pavement. Show them the fotos of accidents caused this way.. and the might think twice.

It's dangerous. And it scares me, because I've never heard of any safety tips for those of us who do not use cell phones while driving.

It's a major distraction. I can't count how many times I would have been hit by drivers while I'm out walking, unless I was looking out for people like them.

Driver's need to look out for pedestrians more than the other way around.
