I started to use the pill the regulate my period because I used to pass out everytime I was on my period. Now my periods are short and pleasant. But if you are actively sexually it prevents unwanted pregnancies. But remember it doesn't prevent STD's or AIDS.

There are so many different forms of birth control out there. Talk to your doctor about what method would be best for you. If this is an issue of sex make sure you are using condoms even if you start birthcontrol unles you have one single commited partner and both of you have been tested for STDs with clean health for 6 months before you stop using them.

Birth control can be everything from the mini-pill to an IUD. You need to decide what sounds best for you, everyone is different but there are too many options out there to not use something to prevent you from getting pregnant before you are ready. Also hormonal birth control can lighten, and with some, stop your periods which can be a really nice thing if you have heavy bleeding.

Again talk to your doctor to decide what is right for you!

Well, unless you are trying to have a child, why in the world wouldn't you use birth control? Some people don't seem to realize that having a child is a life-altering event--your life will never been the same, and to be a good parent almost every decision you make will have to take your child's welfare into consideration, which means you won't always be able to do what you want to do, but what is best for your child. Children are a wonderful gift but they are a gift that we must be prepared for, and unlike other gifts, we can't take them back or exchange them for something we may like better. Parenthood is permanent.

I'm not sure of your age but I know this Condoms break, birth control pills can make you gain weight and babies and aids are forever. If you are in a committed relationship and you know your partner is not going to be with anyone but you you need to do everything possible to stay healthy which means condoms and a back up in case to keep from getting pregnant. It only takes one time and it doesn't take long!!

It depends if you want to get preganet or not and if you are ready to have a child. if you are then dont use any kind of birth control.

If you dont want kids then you need to use some type of birth control Iam on the pill and it works just fine. it also helps balance out my period and clear up my skin...theres more good effects to birth control than just stopping pregnancy..

    Good Luck!

if you are havign sex with people you don't care about and they don't care about you go on birthcontrol, if you are with someone that you care about you and you care about them, you want a baby or a disease (not to sound mean but it is possible) and they don't mind have a baby or disease, do not use birth control, plus birth control can mess up your hormones

I'm the last person you should ask, but if you're unmarried not having sex is all the birth control you need.

If your sexually active and dont want to become pregnant, then yes you should take bc. but if your not sexually active then you dont really need to. Unless you have painful periods it can help regulate them and make them lighter and less painful.

It's up to you, no one else. You want kids? If not use birth control. Plain and simple.
