How can we stop the TV Networks from covering the screen with logos and ads?

Is anyone else getting tired of trying to watch a show on tv only to have the screen covered with advertisements and logos? Comercials are bad enough, now we have to get comercials on the screen DURING the show.

How can we stop this?

Update:

Note: I am refering to the ads that pop-up on screen during a show, not the comercials. Also, the shows are not free. I pay good money for my ability to watch the show.

It is driving me crazy also. It used to be nice little logo on the bottom of the screen - but they are getting bigger and bigger and now the logos also do commercials (sometimes you will see a test add pop out of the logo!!!- I am not kidding) and we get the nice ticker running at the bottom of the screen too sometimes. I am sick of it too but I do not have any answers other than maybe start sending mail to the stations.

It'd stop if enough people wrote / called them and told them the practice should be done away with. The logo is more annoying than anything. Here's your chance people. Start writing those letters NOW !

Turn the TV off and tell them you rather do something else than be an AD watcher.

You can't. They do it so you can't resale the program if you tape it and or put it onto a dvd.

    Clever tv companies.

Actually we can't because thanks to those Logos and Adds is that how we get so many hours of free entertainment.
