why do people on yahoo! answer's get offended when you answer their question & they don't like the answer?

Well darlin' outside of these people just being general butts--there is no clear cut answer here--there are a million stories in the naked Y-A---I do know what you mean though--I've had them pursue me into my personal email accounts breathing fire--making personal threats etc etc--and I don't have a clue why someone would get that rabid over someone speaking their minds especially if they are making a genuine effort not to be offensive---I'm putting this one on my watch list and I'll be checking back to see what the others are saying because it is a real mystery to me too--why some people just can't take it for what it is---a q & a thing

Because sometimes when you tell people the truth even though they know it's the truth it is upsetting; Other time if you are just being a smartbutt that can offend people. Generally though i think if you are asking a question of the general public you are going to get a lot of answers you don't like.

because everyone has different opinions, some answer seriously and some sarcastically, and then, of course, some ask questions that are dumb and stupid on purpose so that we all get a good laugh, but being downright mean and nasty is uncalled for, from my experience on yahoo answers if you have a serious question and are looking for serious advice there is someone that will answer with a well thoughtout answer.

Maybe if your tone is that you are better and very condescending. I don't know for sure but that gets me going. I have yet to report anyone.

Because they are pathetic. Half the people on this site aren't even serious when they answer, like me.

Yeah, it's like they just want to hear from people who agree with them.

some people are really condescending when they come to answer q's. i've never reported them tho... just msg them and handle your own biz. tattletales are no fun!

because people want you to co-sign their thought process - they don't really want to hear the truth. just chalk it up to human nature.
