My rearview mirror fell off the windshield. I glued in back on in the wrong position. How do I get it off?

Remove the mirror from it's base. Place a thin paint scraper, or similar, flat against the windshield where the mirror base contacts the windshield and give it a sharp tap with a hammer. The base piece should pop off. Catch it!
(don't drive the hammer towards the glass!)

Have you tried Acetone to melt the Glue? That usually works. The best place to get Acetone is either a Pharmacy or Auto Parts store. They used to put in nail polish remover but most brands don't anymore.
Really, your best resourse is the parts store. Like AutoZone. Just go in and play 'dumb female' and they'll come out to your car and remove and reglue it in the right place. It's amazing how that still works!

Razor blade scraper and tender loving care! Just work the razor blade around the perimeter until it finally lets go.
I don't know of any particular solvent for this adhesive.
Good luck!

Take a razor scraper and run the blade under the mount and it should pop loose for you.

heat gun will not work, the solvent is a form of actone called MEK (Methyl Ethyl Ketone) very flamable
