Abreva !!!!!is it great!!! Start as soon as you can it shortens the length of the cold sore also!!!!
Buy it at the drug store

Alum. It is a pickling spice that you can find in the spice section at the grocery store. It is a white grainy powder. Mix a little with water and put it on the sore. Do as often as you can. Works on fever blisters too. Will help with pain and also dry it quicker than abreva. Cheaper too.

try carmex. it is sold in drugstores and retail stores in the chapstick section. works good for cold sores and if you get blemishes on your face you can also rub a little on it and it will dry it up in no time.
