pull off the cover to the fuse panel (drivers side footwell)

you'll see a block with a picture of the car with the hood open

pull out the block with the fuse pullers

(you'll need another battery, a battery charger, or some other 12V source)

Hook up the Positive side of your 12V source to the block in the fuse panel

Hook up the negative side to a ground (use the door latch hook)

If all goes well the hood should pop open

don't listen to that other guy. fortunately i have a 99' porsche boxster. look inside on the ground by the drivers door. there will be a latch for your front and back trunk. pop your back one and there will be some screws toward the sides on the track of the back trunk. u have to take it out(ur back trunk)u should get it from there. besides the battery is not by the motor. it should be in the front or back trunk sitting in front of you

open fuse box cover inside drivers kick panel. You will find a small "pull out" positive post. find a negative place and jump your battery, only to electric open the hood. Then jump the car at the battery like normal.

a lot of cars like that you can't do yourself, you have to take them in to a mechanic. i didn't think they were like that in 99 though.
