Sept. 11. I will never forget seeing the news and watching all those people jump out of the burning buildings. So much sadness. I cried!

There were two instances of shocking breaking news of all time (and, yes, I watched the low-speed chase of O.J., but that doesn't count): I thought the worst news ever to see on TV was the wreck of Princess Diana. They kept us on pins and needles for hours with little information on her condition. I figured it was to allow time for the family to be informed of her death. I was right. It was a very sad event.

However, it was later topped when I was at home watching TV during the daytime (which I almost NEVER do) and I watched the tape of the first airplane hitting the WTC and later the second plane hitting it live. It was just so far from what we expect to happen here in the U.S. and so sickening to know that there were people in the towers and people on the planes who were all innocent (except for the hell spawn hijackers). A horrible event I will never forget.

Gee, I was going to say Lennon getting shot, but I guess it was 9/11. I didn't believe what I was hearing so much that I thought the teaching assistant was telling me there was a hostage situation across the street from the school. I even went to the window to see. It wasn't until I saw just a little of it on TV that I kinda got the drift a little. I mean who would believe that someone flew planes into the World Trade Center building unless they saw it?

When I was a kid, it was the assassination of John F. Kennedy. As an adult, it would definitely be the events of 9/11. I don't ever remember anything having such an impact on everyone as that day did...and the weeks, months, years that followed.
