A Save-less Afternoon of Major League Baseball?

The circumstances were freaky yesterday. A bunch of blowouts and some walkoff games. I don't know the exact odds but that is hard to do. However if a saveless day only happened before in 1978 when relief pitchers were less specialized, I think the chances of it happening in the future are pretty slim. Since it took a freaky day for it to happen yesterday, similar circumstances must repeat, maybe it will take 28-30 more years or it can happen tomorrow, but it will likely take a while. I'm just waiting for Jayson Stark's "Useless Info" column about yesterday.

I don't like the tone of your question and have decided to just forgive you for the mocking and mean treatment of Vietnam Vets. I lived for three years in a bamboo cage on my knees. That's interesting trivia, but who cares, the save is a totally trivial statistic. Any game that a team ultimately wins is a win, and that's the purpose of baseball.
