I wasnt by the car and when i got back to my car the lights were flashing. usually the alarm shuts itself off. The battery drained and had to have a tow truck jump the car. well now my horn isnt working. the alarm seems to be working "just no sound by the horn" and i'm wondering what may be the problem. any help is much apriciated thank you in advance :)

the horn assembly itself may be shorted out. it can be replaced by itself. by saying that the battery died leads me to believe that the horn is shorted and pulling current from the battery all the time. I have seen that happen before. It will continue to drain the battery until it is replaced or at the very least, unplugged.

Check the fuse in the panel underneath the dash and next to the steering column. The fuse probably blew out due to the excessive use from the alarm. There might even be a spare fuse in the lid covering the fuse panel along with a pulling tool.

    Hi

This my be a kinda expensive solution I'm suggesting. But its just a suggestion, you don't have to follow through on it.

Go to the dealer, see if they can reset the alarm system. It seems common to have trouble with the alarm system on a car if the battery is ever run down, or disconnected. Since the alarm and horn are tied to each other with your car resetting the alarm may take care of the problem.

So go to your local Ford dealer and see if they can reset the system.

If you have an owners manual, see if it says anything in there about resetting the alarm system yourself.

    Hope I helped

if the system went off long enough to run down the battery the horns are most likely shot.find the horns and check for voltage at the plug,if you have voltage horns are bad.if not check the horn relay .

Check the fuse, might have the horn unplugged

There could be a short in the circuit that makes the horn work. If it is dont keep trying to use it. take it to a shop and let them check it

if the fuse hansn't blown, you burned out the horn

    TRY CHECKING THE FUSE.
