Do you think it is more important for you to pick your pet or let them pick you?

I think that all animals have that 'sixth sense' and know what they want.

All my pets have pushed their way towards me and have 'picked me'.

A dog however.... If you really sit back and watch... a dog will pick everyone...I work at a shelter and study animal behavior ... a dog that picked someone is usually just a confident dog and sometimes those can be the hard headed ones too!

I think pets and their owners create chemistry just the way people do. All the dogs I've gotten at the shelter I just felt drawn to when I got there. There's some dogs whose body language or attitude really puts me off, and others that I just love. I'm sure animals judge humans in the same sense.

My cat Mittens picked me. He is the best pet. Then 2 years later, my husband had a kitten follow him around, so she picked us too. Her and Mittens get along great. They are fun pets. (Her name is TARA).

I agree My cats All pick me and they still do that is why it is hard for me to work on the computer

Sometimes the shy ones are the best. But if one really thinks your special, then that is the one for you.

let them pick you. almost all my pets picked me... except the dog... the dog picked my friend.
