I'm not certain what you are asking: are you asking how air can be split into the many gases that compose it?
One method would be to use the fact that each gas becomes a liquid or solid at different temperatures. By slowing cooling air you can get the gases to switch to a liquid or solid one at a time. Remove the resulting liquid/solid and then repeat the process to separate out the next one.
Other gases are not collected but are manufactured. For example, you can use electricity to split water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen. Since hydrogen is too light to remain captured by the Earth's gravity, it does not occur in useful quantities in the atmosphere, so you have to manufacture it rather than collect it.
I hope this helps!

One way to collect gasses is to make them very cold. Liquid nitrogen freezes most of them in compact form,
and then they can be warmed up into cylinders of steel,
under high pressure.
