But once their campaign is over no one gets pulled over forn ot waering their seat belt. This last campaign my husband and I got pulled over 4 times and he has a note frim the doctor to not have to wear a seat belt. I say no fair, It proves they are targeted and that it is. We were never once asked for proof of insurance. But one officer told uis that they atre supposed to issue 3 tickets ever ten minutes. Some campaign.Where is the freedom going

During my career as a law enforcement officer, we had several "campaigns" to call people's attention to certain laws, such as Seat belts, Child safety seats, Window tint, Loud stereos, Loud exhaust, etc. It wasn't that we ignored or didn't enforce these same laws at other times, but that we made a concerted effort to concentrate on these laws during the "campaigns". We didn't have a "quota" of tickets to write, but we wrote what was needed to get the point across.

I've never noticed a problem - but here in MN, it's the law anyway, regardless of when a campaign is on or not. But then again the only time I don't wear my seatbelt is when I'm going to work from my BF's...it's like 5 blocks on deserted residential streets, so nearly no danger. Just wear your seatbelt.
