Hezbollah is a terrorist organisation that gets support from Syria, Iran, and Lebanon, Israel believes that it is possible to destroy hezbollah by attacking Lebanon, this appears to be a flawed technique, considering the government in Lebanon does'nt actually have cosiderable control over Hezbollah, and usually by the time Israel decides to attack a Hezbollah target, the terrorists are already far gone, but hey maybe the Israelis know something we don't.

This is about Israel trying to fix a mistake it made when it pulled out of Southern Lebanon discreetly over a single night in 2000 leaving Hezbollah to look like heroes. Hezbollah played up the move to make it look like it was the first group to defeat Israelis and hence the rise in their credibility by extremist and conservative Islam. Had Israel started a diplomatic process and negotiated the pullout with a third party on the premise of exit to comply with U.N. resolutions and gotten something in exchange, Hezbollah could never have made their claim of success and rise in political clout.

With the kidnapping of two Israeli soldiers last week, Israel had an excuse to go in and fix their mistake.

The problem is, Israel's bombardment of Lebanon's infrastructure only hurts its cause. Hezbollah's militants do not thrive on infrastructure. They thrive on a lack of it. Destroying the infrastructure only hurts those opposing Hezbollah's arms within Lebanon. It also strengthens the ability of the group to cause more damage via guerilla warfare. You have to feel sorry for the civilians on both sides who are caught in the middle of it. Israel will survive. Lebanon may not. What Israel fails to see is if Lebanon does not survive, Hezbollah or whatever extremist group that may take its place becomes infinitely more powerful and destructive. Hezbollah was formed as a result of Israeli occupation. Hezbollah was strengthened as a result of their surprise pullout. Now Hezbollah may become even stronger yet because of Israel's lack of focus in dealing with the group exclusively as opposed to punishing collectively. Someone tell the strategists in Israel (and Washington for that matter) that they still haven't learned to deal with opposition on the street level. Until they do, there may be a thousand more Hezbollah and Al Qaeda groups. And if that happens, who is safe? not even moderate Islam would escape their wrath.

Terrorists that have taken over southern Lebanon have kidnapped two of Israel solders. Similar to what happened to the two American soldiers in Iraq. They were not butchered like our soldiers they are being held on the demand Israel lets go a thousand more terrorists from jail. Israel is doing what the government of Lebanon cannot do, that is rid southern Lebanon of terrorists.

A militant group in Lebanon called Hizbollah captured two of their soldiers. This group is backed by Syria and Iran and is tolerated to exist in Lebanon, especially around the northern border of Israel. Israel is calling for the release of the soldiers and demanding that Lebanon disarm Hizbollah. That's it in short.

There's a song from Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album that sums up the essence of every war:

    "With...

    Without...

And who'll deny it's what the fighting's all about..."

They've forgotten how to share and be friendly with one another - caring more about things than their fellow man.

Power often has that effect on people.

It is about the middle east Muslims destroying Israel because they have a different God. Islam says that all gods other than Allah are false and all non believers must die. That includes all Christians and Atheists.

Abraham fathered Ishmael whose mother was Haggar and Isaac whose mother was Sarah.

There has been a major "misunderstanding" ever since.
