Email notification not working ??
Is there anybody else that wishes, instead of seeing the same question come up 20 times by 20 different people that people would look a little further .. do a search or whatever ?? I don't mind answering questions at all, but it does get repetitive when I say the same thing several times over. ..... Just curious
But go to your messenger ... click on messenger>>preferences>>alerts and sounds>>go down to "receive mail in yahoo mail" (or whatever it says) and check the boxes. Otherwise, it's a glitch and will hopefully clear up soon.

I think people are simply confused -- as I was -- because the alerts are set up correctly but have suddenly stopped working.
People are wondering what they did wrong, if they have to reinstall, uninstall.... all the things I tried to no avail.
It isn't a matter of setting your preferences... it's that the preferences are no longer working, and Yahoo is being quiet about it.
Obviously they have a major glitch with their new version releases and email notifications no longer work.

This issue is now resolved. I spoke with the Yahoo! customer care team a short time ago. There was a glitch in the notification system causing mail alerts/notifications through My Yahoo!, Yahoo! Toolbar, and Yahoo! Messenger to not function properly. This glitch sent alerts of new emails to people that did not have emails. It also did not notify/alert people when they did have email. The problem started yesterday morning (July 19th, 2006) and went through until just a few moments ago. However, as stated, it is fixed now.

I have two messenger accounts and one of them works and the other doesnt with email alerts. could it just be a gliche on one account or a messenger gliche in gen?

me 2 why doesn't yahoo see all the questions about this and somehow let us know if and when it will be resolved . i have scene Questions on this over and over this about the 300th time i have scene it.
