Plagiarism?
Why does answers.yahoo not have a plagiarism choice in the report abuse area? When someone copies passages (or an entire page) from Wikipedia (for example), that doesn't help me with an answer (since I am smart enough to check Wikipedia or most of the easy places to go), and it is obviously plagiarism. Usually people don't even give a link to what they copied. I think there should be a rule against this. It is also annoying to have to scroll so long down a person's answer, because they copied several pages of text, just so I can get to some real answers. What are your opinions on this?

I agree with you. If it is an answer that can be found easily on the internet, then find it on the internet. What we are looking for here are answers based on experience, not just cut and paste off of Wikipedia. Whether or not we need a rule I don't know. I'd like to see better grammar, lets make a rule about that!

I agree. Someone copying a passage from Wikipdia as an answer is very annoying. I only answer questions that I have my own answer or opinion for.

As long as there are questions, there are stupid, unthought answers. Unfortunately this is probably not going to stop, just like war, just like child abuse, just like everything else. The only thing you can really do is try to overlook these things instead of getting yourself worked up about them.

Yeah, it's a cop out. As if you hadn't already thought of wikipedia, right? these people should be flogged into submission.

My opinion: Don't rely on Yahoo! Answers, for answers.
Most responses are quite useless. In fact, most questions are stupid...
