Depends. How long, what kind of camping? You may need a camping stove and water filters, depending upon the circumstances. Otherwise a tent, sleeping bag, pillow, maybe an inflatable mattress, cooler with food and ice, plates and silverware or camp kit for cooking and eating, a water jug, folding table maybe and chairs. You should bring bug spray, flashlights and/or lanterns, some soap for washing dishes and yourself, extra clothes, something to chop wood if you'll be making a fire or charcoal/propane if you're grilling (and a grill, of course). I also enjoy bringing books on birds and plants to try and identify things, but I'm a geek.
Have fun!

Don't forget to be environmentally friendly. If you bring soap as mentioned above, use biodegradable soap. As well, bring a solid knife with a handle that is rugged.
I am very safety conscious so, finally, bring an emergency kit. Heat, Water, then Food are the three most important things for survival.
Heat: Heat blanket (one of those reflective ones. I have a triple layer one that is much sturdier than the cheap space blankets). Source of fire, perhaps a heat lamp, you can hide under your heat blanket and use this heat lamp. it heats up the space wonderfully well. flares.
Water: Water purification tablets or a filter, space allowing. Or learn how to make a solar still, or learn to use leaves/concave areas to collect rainwater/dew/condensation.
Food! You need a knife to catch game, anyhow, in your kit just throw in some calorie bars, e.g. 500, 1000 calorie bars (they taste bad, but good for emergencies).
If you're rich (which i am not), get a gps unit (which i do not own).
All these are extra precautions, you probably will not need most of the stuff i listed b/c you're in a camper. Only in the extreme case that your camper is disabled or incinerated will these be of much help. For future reference, get a book on outdoor safety and bring it with you.
Most importantly! Bring a camera/videocamera =P

I don't know how much you're going to be roughing it, but there are always the ten essentials:
1) map 2) compass 3) sunglasses and sunscreen 4) extra clothing (layered systems) 5) headlamp/flashlight 6) first aid supplies 7)firestarter 8)matches 9) knife 10) extra food
Don't forget your shelter.
Are there bears? You may need a bear cannister. Bring things for entertainment as well -- cards, fishing pole, books, etc.

just bring the usual things that you use day-to-day....
plus treats like beer, cards, marshmallow & chocolate, guitar...
on the do not forget list:
— bug spray
— tp
— rubbing alcohol (to wash your hands, face or dishes if no water)
— hat for sun
— sunscreen
— kindling for the fire (newspaper works the best)
— logs to burn for the fire (you cannot always find stuff at campgrounds to use)
