If you're the quiet, shy type, then try to be a little more outgoing. Strike up conversations, or offer more smiles and waves. Don't necessarily change your look, or your clothes - you wouldn't want to make friends that are superficial or anything. Just... be yourself, and I'm sure you can find a group of friends who have similar interests.

Did they no like you before because that might change the advice. But just try and be yourself if that doesnt work become friends with some semipopular girl and then go from there.
