What does it feel like while wearing a headgear?

You are lucky, many children use a headgear as part of an orthodontic program.

For my child it meant he might not have to undergo jaw surgery, so I suppose, for him it felt a lot less scary. For me, it felt very expensive. It cost over $2,000 dollars for the gear, the visits, etc.

My son's headgear attached by hooking rubber bands to two brackets on the top braces on his teeth. He wore it only at home, but it looked kinda funny. He thought it was pretty cool when it didn't hurt...

You see, it really depends on who you ask. Maybe if you are wealthy enough to buy a headgear, you could purchase it for a child who needs it. Maybe he could let you know how it feels...
