i want to buy an mp3 player and am looking at the ipod nano is ther anything better thats about the same$$?

I also have the creative zen micro photo. I think it's better than the nano - only costs $200 at Dell.com (including shipping), comes in a ton more colors, really easy to use and nice looking, PLUS it holds twice to eight times as much as a nano (depending on which nano you were planning to get). The sound quality is far superior. The display is high quality and in color, and although it doesn't have accessories made specifically for it, you can find anything you want to work with it. I love it so much!

My mom just bought me an iPod 2 days back its a 30GB Black and it was 299.99, it comes with a cloth material case, headphones, usb charger/usb port, a docking thing (need something to make it work i think), and the software disc...for NOW (as in when you buy it) that is pretty much all you need. the Nano is 249.99 if i remember, the roughly 50 buck diffrence wont hurt in my opinion the Nano is 4GB and the Black bulckier one (a lil bluckier) is 30GB (also comes in 60GB think, which is 399.99 the Nano, for roughly 50 dollars your upgrading to video, photos, from 26GB and from 1,500 to 7,500 cabability of songs (thats a rough estimation on apple's part). So that sounded excellent to me, if you use iTune make SURE u get the iPod because it is not really formated to fit ANY other MP3, if you dont have iTunesave a lil freedom to lean on. And plus with the video you can download stuff from iTunes like i downloaded Dave Chappelle: For what its worth fro 1.99 which is a dang good deal for a 57 minute standup comedy compared to 19.99 store mark up if u ask me. Try the 299.99 it is recommened, the only thing that you may want to get is a case (u cann live a while with the one they give ou, it isnt top notch but it shall do for a while). I Got mine from Best Buy, hope this helps. O yah, and if you buy the 299.99 you'll probably be set for a while as means of MP3 players lol, it is basically all you need except a portable game player...which is in thought right now i think lol

OMG the creative zen sleek photo its soo much better than the ipoop im seriosue it took me 3 months of research and i got this its the same price actually chepaer20 gb of music 1.7in oled 262,000 colors mic and fm tuner themese are changeable and its sooo sexy and sleek i reccomend it i did soo much reasearch and naroowed it down to this or the microphoto the microphoto only has 8 gb 1.5 in oled smaller res 15 hr battery life but atually lats arround 10 hours the sleek has a 19 hours life so far its lasted me 17 hours and the sound qualtiy is amazing on these players its actaully better than the ipods sound also the pics look nice and its soo nice ii lov it !

ATTENTION! iPod is really worse when it comes to battery but sound quality is excellent.Creative Zen M a new model with 30 to 60 gig like in ipod but has line-in recording,fm,fm recording and 262k color screen when compared to ipod's 65k.battery life - 2 hours extra.More colours too. u can also go for the new mobi blue model which has whopping 146 hrs of battery.you can also try the new toshiba whish has a bigger screen yet same size as th iPod.U can also try the Sony's network Walkman which has a striking appearance with much longer battery life.IPOD IS SCRATCHY GOOD LOOKING IN PHOTOS NOT IN HANDS NO GOOD PERFOMANCE TOO
