why would anybody want to get a tattoo? it is permanent you can never get rid of it.?

I always imagine being in nursing home when I'm 80 or so and someone rolling me over to change my diaper, noticing my tattoo.

I have one and I actually regret it.

I got tattoos because I like them. It took me ten years to get the 5 I have. I spent a lot of time looking and researching shops and artists. They can be removed with costly and painful laser treatments but if you are smart about getting them you shouldn't need to have them removed. For some they are a life story of places they've been and people they love or have loved. Some are memorials to relatives or friends who've died. Some are for spriritual purposes and others purely decoration. There are true tattoo artists that will work with you so that you have the best artwork possible and there are those who will just put whatever on you just for the money. I always get compliments on mine.

While it is expensive to get rid of, nothing is truly permanent.

Anyway, for a lot of tattooed people, the fact that it's permanent is the whole point - or at least part of the adrenaline rush. Many people want to take an important symbol with them for their whole lives, like a scar that makes you remember an injury you survived.

its a way to express yourself. Or you might think they cute. I have three small tattoos that i just LOVE!! even when I get old they will still be cute and are not tacky in any way. I plan on getting two more (my childrens names) then I am done. I find that the right tat in the right spot is nice. For women however you should NEVER get any on the arm..nasty looking, and no one NO ONE should cover their bodies in them..thats nasty!

First if your a professional and you wanted a tattoo get one so it wont be seen. My is on my chest and it's a small heart. My other is on my wrist and my watch covers it. I wanted a tattoo because I like the different design and colors and I wanted to be different. To remove unwanted tatoos just get them Lasered.

Unless you're under the age of 10.....EVERYONE knows they're permanent...I am seriously considering getting one....I've been thinking about it for a few years now and just need to settle on a design.

Just because it's something you wouldn't do that doesn't mean no one else should.

You can get rid of with with laser treatment.

well actually u can get rid of it!! my friend got one but it is soo ugly!! and it supose to b cute!! well ppl want tattooz cuz ppl like havin sumtin on their body!!

They can look really crappy. Or they can look REALLY cool. And hot.

Nowadays there's laser removal.
