Is a flute or clarinet easier to play?

Most people say clarinet is easier because it is usually the easiest for beginners to make a sound on, but it is very hard to play as you get more advanced, as are all instruments but clarinet at times seems as one of the hardest.

I cannot play flute so it's harder for me. for some people it's easier. Go to a music store that sells instruments and try them both out see which is better for you Don't completely rely on other people's opinions because they are all different.

flute is easier and clarinet is difficult. Clarinet need a lot of energy to blow and hence, a person playing a clarinet gets exhausted easily

I played flute for many years, it was a difficult instrument to master. In class the instructor said that a clarient was easier to learn to play. But I guess it all depends on who is trying to learn, once the either is mastered it's easy to play :)

it depends on the persons opinon..i play the flute so that ones easiest to me...why? i mean ive never even played the clainet so i guess it would be really differicult for me! lol...but yeah just depends
