Your doc should have told you how many carbs you are allowed per meal and snack and the total for the day.My grandson is a type 1 diabetic and he can have 80 carbs per meal and 15 carbs per snack. If you are a type 1 diabetic you should be under the care of an endocrinologist.Usually docs will prescribe calorie diets for type 2 diabetics.Usually the diet is 2000 calories with no concentrated sweets. You must speak with your doc to verify how many grams of carbs he thinks you should take daily per meal and per snack.Yahoo answers is not the place to seek this type of information.Good Luck

I think you are not having insulin other wise you check I:C ratio or insulin to Carbs ratio .. which will tell you for 1 unit of insulin how much carbs should be served for that amount .. lets say the doctor tell you for each 1 unit of insluin you can get 15 g or carbs and so on ...
Try to eat less than 195 g but you have to check with an expert first

There are 4 calories in each gram of carbohydrates. You want 50% of your calories to be from carbohydrates. Therefore, that's 2000 Calroies * 50% / 4 calories per gram = 250 grams of carbs. Don't stress that too much though.

I believe it is 40. Check with your doc. The more you exercise the more carbs you burn off and they don't have time to turn into unused unwanted sugar. Try the book call the Gilcemix Index. It provides with with a list of food that are great for keep your sugar in check. I use it and so does my mom and her sugar and mine are coming down.
