Should I stay or go?
I've been with my bf for almost 4 years, and we were off and on, because he was doing drugs, but he finally is clean, and he says he did it for me cause if he didn't I was going to leave. So now he's clean but I don't want to be with him. He's 47 and I'm 31 and I think we are totally different. We don't watch the same movies, or listen to the same music. Everyone says I'm happier when he is gone. I don't have anyone else I want to be with, but I just like the single life.

#1. Don't feel guilty for getting him off drugs no matter if you leave or stay.
#2. It is more important if you think you are happier when he is gone that what your friends think about it.
Follow your heart.

If he stayed off drugs for you, it was his choice - you were merely his inspiration. So don't feel guilty about it.
If you don't want to be with him, then don't. Do what's best for you, follow your heart. But by no means be a bi*ch and make it a hard break up. Let him down easy. Let him know what's on your mind and be firm. If he threatens to start drugs again, ignore it. It's his choice and you didn't incite it or encourage it. So go ahead but be smart and gentle about it. Good luck.
