The fact that you ask this question shows that you know on some level that it is not okay. I won't even get into the fact that you maybe too young for this 16 year old, but think about how this could affect your family. Don't be selfish! Your family may be damaged and/or hurt by this relationship. There are many guys out there. Do you really need to be with this one?

Hi there I saw your question and thought it was a very good one so i thought i would send you an answer. A step-brother should not be related to you by blood so i don't think there is any reason to date him. My only concern sweetie is that you are 13 and he is 16. I understand your feelings but if your parents are aware they could be very upset by it because he is older than you and actually could get into trouble if he dates you at your age so please be very careful. Maybe talk to your parents about it. I hope you feel comfortable doing that. If not talk to someone else that is an adult that you feel comfortable talking too.

it isn't a legal issue and there is no risk of genetic inbreeding for your kids but it is really weird. At 13 you should wait and look around for more suitable guys.
