Why is Itunes so confusing and difficult to use?
I though the Mac's stuff was more user friendly than the PC versions, but it is never the case. Specifically if I want to select music to play I have to individually click each box. I don't see a way to select a lot of different songs at a time, and when I want to clear the selection, I have to go through and unclick each individual box. This is so 80's computer tech, it gets annoying, does anyone know of an easier way to select and deselect music??
Even the part about highlighting a group of songs isn't that easy. If you try to highlight a group, it just moves the first song highlighted, it doens't allow highlighting a group with just the mouse.

To select multiply music hold the ctrl and use the mouse to click on the music its just a shortcut that you will never find unless you search it on the web. An if you want to you can create a playlist and use that shortcut and click and drop it to the playlist you just created from the Library list. If you have a lot of music its a good thing to use the search thing on iTune.

Your library stores all your songs (yes, all) then you make playlists on the left (I think select file-new-playlist) then you drag and drop into the playlist, and play from there. You can have loads of these, i.e party, exercise, weekend, walk to work.
If you have gone off a song but don't want to delete it, just uncheck the box, then when you play from the library it won't come up... It takes a while to set up playlists, but is brilliant when its all done...
Also, to play all your "pop" songs for example, select a pop song then click on the top bar where it says 'genre' and you will see all your pop songs from the top of the library, rather than making a pop playlist. :)

I notice that, when I want to import one individual song through iTunes, I have to select ALL the songs listed. Then, on my ipad, I manually delete the songs that I didn t want to import. And the same problem with exporting songs FROM my ipad to iTunes. iTunes software requires that the WHOLE library (music, photos, etc...) be handled as "one unit" versus individual items. It s "all or nothing".

I don't know. I find it basic, but not that great. Windows Media Player 11 is better.

I had no trouble until the last update. It makes syncing chosen albums only, a mystery. It had been straightforward. Now it sucks.
