Invented in Singapore a few yrs back.
Singapore is buying all the water needed for (whole nation) toilet to drinking water.
It's in order to reduce the reliability of water supply from Malaysia and of cos save cost...
But the funny and (disgusting) thing is that the way of making new water.
It's some kind of refine process which use the used waters (including toilets) and clean them to even DRINKABLE stage!!!
And all the Singaporeans are using it (partially) every day!!!

It was to address the increasing water needs of the country and reduce Singapore's reliance on neighbouring countries for her water supply.
NEWater is the result of research and development by Hyflux, Singapore.
