Try Motorola Razr v3x - loads of features at an affordable price. Mine came packaged with an 128 MB memory card for extended memory. It can store/play mp3's and has Java apps as well. Best of all, it's a 3G phone already. At a price easy on the pockets.
Motorola also recently unleashed MotoRazr Maxx (http://www.3g.co.uk/PR/July2006/3389.htm) but since it's new, it will probably be more expensive. For me, the v3x works good enough, and has its fair share of useful features, all packaged into a nice looking body.

I think a nokia phone would be ideal because they have the most series 60 phones among any brand. It depends on your budget, really. Quite a number of nokia phones fit your criteria.

I like the pink razor by Motorola personally:) I guess it all depends on the features you need and plan to use...
