look for the antivirus icon on your system tray (lower right corner of the screen beside the date and the time); right click on the icon and choose 'enable auto protect' or 'turn on'

Use the update feature to add which antivirus you use to your original post. All are different. Also is you AV current?

You should have an Icon on your bar. Just click on it.
