When should you clean your teflon coated pan?
When should you clean a Teflon pan, right after it comes out of the oven, or should you wait for it to cool? Which method would be best to maintain the Teflon coating? Metals heat and contract at different rates so if you rapidly cool the pan off with water then does that hurt the Teflon bond? The Teflon is a very thin coat so it can easily get scratched and ruined, how much will the differing metal contraction affect it? I use Teflon pizza sheets cooked at 450 degrees F (232 degrees C).

wait for it to cool is good for the pan then you won't warp the metal, and don't use metal tools on them

Teflon scratches off over time and can come off in your food. Its not good for you either.
Its actually very difficult to find those types of pans now because theyre discontinuing them for that reason. Go buy one now and all youll find are stainless steel.
On that note, you certainly want to wait for the pan to cool off on its own before washing. Leave it on top of the oven or something until it cools down to ambient temp on its own, and then wash it as needed.

U should clean it only when it cools down..else over a period of time the Teflon coating will chip off

When we cook pizza on our teflon sheet, we take the pizza off it, and stick the sheets somewhere to let them cool to room temp (usually overnight) then we put them in the dishwasher.

Coating or not, you should let all your pans cool to room temp before cleaning them. They can and will warp if you try to clean them before that. The sudden temp change creates this warping...and this ruins your pans.

I let it cool off and then everything comes off easily with a soapy sponge.
Don't use steel wool or anything like it.
