Myspace Virus?

There was a virus on MySpace last week as svancouw answered. However this WMF virus only affected those with un-updated, un-patched versions of Windows. Microsoft issued a patch for this vulnerability in January.

Those who caught this virus have no one but themselves to blame. They were 7 months behind in there Windows Updates.

Always keep Windows updated. Microsoft "Patch Tuesday" is the 2nd Tuesday of every month.

Don't completely rely on me about this, but I believe that it's been fully rooted out as of early last week. It should be safe now.

The way you caught a virus on MySpace was by simply viewing on of several ads. You didn't even have to do anything other than that to catch the virus.

myspace does carry many viruses, b/c whenever you go onto someone's page, you are essentially dowloading whatever codes they put onto it...

However, this weekend I think Myspace has been acting up since thursday. I think it's b/c of the massive heatwaves California(where myspace is headquartered) has been suffering through. So just be careful, and be patient.

I know the last one was like a couple weeks ago. It was a banner and if you clicked on it, it messed stuff up. Usually MySpace reports viruses they find, but still be careful on there!!! It's a virus party!!!!!!

Wouldn't be surprised if there was one already!

These hackers are infecting everything on the Net, to get their cheap means!

Sure you can get one from visiting someones MySpace page. You can get it from virtually any page, including this one!

Just keep a good Anti-Virus on board your Computer.
