How do i remove a universal joint from a Dodge Ram 1500 drive shaft?
i already have the drive shaft off of the vehicle but i cant remove the old U-joint because i cant get the cups that hold it in place to move.... i removed all the clips and ive tried to drive them out but they wont move

some driveshafts have a plastic/nylon ring that sets in a groove between the bearing cups and the driveshaft yolk. Heating the driveshaft yolk with a torch will melt the ring, and it will ooze out the holes that the factory used to put it in. Then the cap can be easily driven out. Or if that ring isn't there, the heating will surely help the cap come loose anyway.
