What would YOU do to make it better?

I would pass a law that would make fossil fuel consumption illegal within ten years. This would create a mandate to develop another energy source. Any way you look at it, oil is the root of most it not all the ills in the world today. Global warming and pollution are one cause of concern, but the middle east and terrorists are another. There is no solution to the middle east problem, and we are involved there simply because we need the oil. Trying to build a stable economy when you depend on unstable countries to supply the energy is just insane.

As long as there is oil to suck out of the ground, the oil companies are going to sell it. They didn't stop using whale oil until they ran out of whales. Our dependance on oil is going to create unrest in the world until we stop using it. The only way we will stop using it is to pass a law against it.

Our war againt terrorists should be centered on stopping our use of their oil. Considering that is the only product they sell to the world, it wouldn't take long for the entire middle east to dry up and blow away. Without their oil money they'd have no money to buy guns. They'd have nothing at all. They wouldn't even be able to feed themselves.

There are so many great things one could do, it is really hard to pick the single most important, most wide reaching, most beneficial one.

After long consideration, I would have to say, even though this is not a law I would ever really want to pass, it fixes so many problems at the same time I will use it here anyway.

My law would be that anyone proclaiming to be, or voting for a liberal be institutionalized until they are deemed sane.

Like I said, I would never really choose this I would assert numerous other laws fixing the problems liberals have caused. But this one simple law would eliminate just about every problem we have.

Zero tolerance for crime. No more second, third, .... chances. You kill, rape, burglarize, sexually assault or molest a child, commit grand theft, you go to jail for the rest of your life, case closed. When in jail, they will work in the prison, no HBO, no college, no Internet. It's about time we start holding people accountable.

I think we have enough laws today. we just need to fix the the ones we already have. they need to be more strict and more standardized from state to state . child rape is 1 good example.
