Genesis 1:1-5
1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
The darkness He called Night. The darkness is mentioned first so night came before day.

If we say the day starts at 12:01 AM. And let's say the world starts at the International Dateline which is located in the Pacific Ocean. Then at 12:01 AM on the International Dateline it would be night, therefore in the beginning I would say it is night, then day.

Neither. Scientifically speaking, Earth rotates away from the sun and so it's night and then towards it and so it's day. So neither comes before the other.

1200AM...the start of every day...at 1200AM, it's dark so the day starts out as dark as night so I think night comes first
